A Lifelong Passion for Masonry Excellence
Hello! I’m David Nelson, and I'm originally from Grand Ledge, Michigan, but I’ve been proud to call Naples home since 1973. My love for masonry started young—when I was just 8 years old, I spent my summers working for my dad, earning 50 cents an hour. I still remember the day I walked into the Western Auto Store and bought a brand-new bike with my summer wages. From that moment, I was hooked.​
One of my earliest jobs was helping my dad on a home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and that experience stayed with me. It taught me that good masonry—whether it's building a custom fireplace, shaping a stone patio, or laying brick veneer—is both a craft and an art form.
In 1985, I started my own company and have been a licensed and insured masonry contractor in Collier County ever since. I’m also licensed in Lee County. Over the past 40 years, I’ve had the honor of working on all kinds of projects—from backyard fire pits and outdoor fireplaces to stone veneer facades and indoor fireplace features. I’ve even worked on a Port Royal home with 14 fireplaces.

But no matter the size of the job, what matters most is doing it right. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some of the most skilled masons and tenderers in the business, and I carry that same pride and attention to detail into every project—whether it’s a new custom firebox or restoring an old brick wall.
